I joined with residents, community members and organisations at the now-annual Ferring Festival.
This year's celebrations came following the huge success of the Platinum Jubilee festival last year. Residents will share in thanking and commending the organising committee for their dedication to putting together such a fantastic event.
Music, food and drink, the lovely paintings in the Baptist church and the WI stalls at the Village Hall: every part combined to continue the Ferring tradition of purposeful community activity.
This now-annual event combines superbly with the other entries in the social calendar for Ferring including, my favourite, the Scarecrow Festival.
Thanks should also be shared with the Parish Council for arranging the road closure team and St John's Ambulance for first aid cover.
