I joined Cllr Russ Cochran and Cllr Lionel Harman, alongside local campaigner Syed Ahmed, at the regular Castle/Northbrook street surgery.
Constituents raised a number of important issues and concerns including the impact of train strikes on our local schools, hospitals and vulnerable communities. I confess to disagreeing wholeheartedly with the rail union leader who tried to justify the withdrawal of labour on Christmas Eve by explicitly declaring it was 'not action against the travelling public'.
All might ask what consideration has been made of the passengers, some who support their efforts, who are worst impacted and what the motives are for these suggested days.
I continue to act on issues raised and feed these concerns back to local and central government when necessary.
