The shortlist has been announced for the National Campaign For The Arts' Hearts For The Arts Awards 2022. The awards celebrate the unsung heroes of Local Authorities who are championing the arts against all odds.
The work our local councils are doing is incredibly important - as evidenced by the great impact our cultural sector have on their communities and audiences.
Arun District Council and Littlehampton Town Council have been shortlisted for the Best Arts Project. for their LOVE Local Arts programme.
The programme centred on Littlehampton High Street, somewhere many constituents make frequent use of. The positive impact could be felt across Arun and Worthing, bringing more than 2000 people to the High Street from across our communities over 5 consecutive Saturdays at the end of a year of intermittent lockdowns.
