Last week I shared information from Southern Water regarding a data breach.
I represented affected constituents in requesting urgent action be taken to ensure affected customers are made aware and provided necessary support to prevent further issues.
I have received confirmation that all Southern Water customers at risk will have been contacted by last Friday.
Anyone affected will receive either a letter or an email containing security advice as well as guidance on recommended precautionary steps and offers of support.
Southern Water have put in place a precautionary package of support which includes enhanced Experian credit monitoring, free of charge, for the next 12 months.
