Communities came together in remembrance across Arun and Worthing.
Alongside joining the service at Worthing Town Hall, I visited the memorials at Kingston Gorse.
At Remembrance Services and Ceremonies across the constituency and in Westminster, and whenever I pause to read names on Memorials, I recall that the purposes of politics include the responsibility to reduce conflict and to prevent civil war in nations across the world.
We remember those who died to ensure we could live, to defend our democracy and liberty, and to prevent the spread of fascism and intolerance.
I share in thanking all those who helped to organise and took part in remembrance services across Worthing and Arun including our police, community representatives, faith leaders and uniformed groups.
