I met leading representatives of Kidney Cancer UK at their ‘Unlocking Hope in Cancer Care’ event in Parliament.
At the meeting was Anne Ellis, a current patient undergoing treatment, who kindly made the effort to travel up from Somerset. We applaud her enduring dedication to campaigning for others.
The aim of the event was to raise awareness of the use of minimally invasive cancer therapies (MICTS) in the treatment of kidney cancer and to ensure that eligible patients across the UK can have timely access to treatment.
Patients in Worthing and Arun will recognise the potential of minimally invasive therapies and the limited side effects that other, more invasive treatments illicit.
Every day, science and medical research gives added hope to a better tomorrow. I stand with cancer patients in support of increased research and even better treatment.
