At the weekend, with councillors and people from a range of local churches, I attended the Worthing Islamic Society’s Open Day at Worthing Masjid on Ivy Arch Road.
We were welcomed by the chair Ali Abdul Rahman and by my friend Idris Nawab. We thank all in the Islamic society and at the mosque for the contribution they make to community life. We are as one in Worthing.
As and when the Islamic society requires a larger mosque, we will all give support and encouragement.
We are all defenders of faith, of kindness and of community spirit.
Any group interested in knowing more is welcome to ask for a friendly meeting.
