Constituents have been in touch with concerns regarding TFL's plans to stop accepting Day Travelcards for passengers travelling from Worthing and Arun into London.
I put these concerns to the relevant groups, including TFL, the Rail Delivery Group and the Department for Transport and urged for a common-sense way forward.
Surely we should be making it as easy as possible for everyone to use green public transport options, including trains and tubes, as part of our ambitions to promote environmentally friendly means of travel?
Following prolonged discussion and collaboration, I am pleased to confirm that Day Travelcards ππΆπΉπΉ continue to be accepted on TFL services.
This is a victory for commuters going to work, a win for families travelling to London for fun and a gain for the occasional rail user wanting seamless journeys into and out of the city.
