𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐀𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝:
This week has begun with the consequences of rail strikes felt in every corner of the constituency. In recent years, local residents have had to endure and brace for the impact of strikes. Many will share in the belief that consideration for passengers and the vulnerable should be paramount when either party desires to make their point.
I speak on behalf of rail users across Worthing and Arun, most of whom earn less than the rail workers and many of whom earn nothing because they're hard-working students, retirees or job seekers.
Health matters in Parliament this week. The AGM of All-Party Groups is an important opportunity to shape the direction of a certain campaign group within Parliament for the upcoming year. This week sees the AGM of the All-Party Group on Women's Health as well as the Group on Dementia.
As a leading voice on women's health in Parliament and as a strong advocate for those battling the scourge of dementia and Alzheimer's, I take seriously the potential of collaborating with colleagues from across the house and of all political persuasions.
Shaping the agenda matters enormously.
