𝗟𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗱𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 - 𝗚𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴:
I have been contacted by Lloyds Bank to inform me that their branch on George V Avenue in Goring will be closing on 2nd February 2022.
Customers will receive notification in the coming weeks.
We must appreciate the fundamental shifts in customer demand being driven by the digital revolution, and banking is not immune to this. Access to banking services is overwhelmingly online.
However, change must not leave behind those unable to utilise digital banking: businesses, the elderly, the digitally-isolated.
The decision to close the branch has been made in line with the Access to Banking Standard and FCA guidance.
We thank the dedicated staff who have served our community for some time.
