Over the weekend I joined residents, community leaders and valued Ukrainian community members at Worthing Museum for Ukrainian Culture Day.
Russia says there’s no Ukrainian culture, music, or language. I doubt Putin has seen the depth, breadth and beauty of the Ukrainian culture as was displayed on Saturday.
For many present from the Worthing Ukrainian Friends Network, the realities of Putin's deadly invasion of Ukraine are harrowing and all too tangible. The warmth of our local community in welcoming them went far in providing the safety and the care they sought after the peace and security of their homeland was destroyed.
The exhibit celebrates and immerses visitors in the rich tapestry of Ukrainian art and culture and runs until Sunday 11th February, 2024. It is free to enter.
