This weekend I was with Councillor Russ Cochran by the incomplete ponds in the centre of the new estate at West Durrington, meeting residents and discussing local concerns and interests.
I continue to campaign for a new Special Education Needs and Disabilities School (SEND) to come to us rather than to Tangmere. Not only would this be a welcome finishing development for the new estate and community; it would also be an overdue improvement to local SEND provision here in Worthing, Arun and West Sussex.
Terry Woodjetts, Chair of the West Durrington Residents Association, has done much to keep developers to their promises.
With County Councillor Sean McDonald, local community leaders and Worthing Borough Council, we can be powerful when working together for local interests.
