Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex have recently have recently launched their £1 million ‘Buy it for Life’ Appeal to help secure ownership of a second air ambulance helicopter.
Until now, the charity has only leased the aircraft that the service depends on. Now, we as a community have a time-limited opportunity to support the charity in buying it and providing a genuine and secure lifeline for the people of Worthing, Arun, and right across Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
At a reception in Parliament I met with representatives of the charity to discuss the key issues that the sector is currently facing. We also joined in celebrating and recognising the lifesaving work that air ambulances deliver in communities across our stretch of the coast.
Demand for the service has been growing year-on-year and has never been greater. Last year they made a record number of over 3,300 missions to people in urgent need of their lifesaving care.
Our air ambulance charities consistently seek to improve operations and advance patient care. They save lives every day.
